(DCWatchdog.com) – In a powerful, clear-cut message to the nation, former President Donald Trump has declared that the various charges against him have been “set up” by President Joe Biden and the Democrats in what he described as “their new form of cheating” to remain in power.

He made these remarks at a press conference Thursday held at his Manhattan property at 40 Wall Street, following the conclusion of closing arguments in a civil trial led by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Attorney General James has filed a $370 million lawsuit against Trump, his family, and their business empire, alleging the inflation of financial statements and deception of banks.
Trump has consistently denied these allegations, asserting that his assets were undervalued and that his financial statements contained disclaimers for banks to interpret the figures.
This week, Trump appeared in court for two separate cases: one concerning presidential immunity from charges in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s January 6 investigation and the other for the trial in New York spearheaded by James.
These court appearances occurred just before the Iowa Caucuses, a significant early primary contest.
“My legal issues, every one of them, every one — civil and criminal ones — are all set up by Joe Biden. Crooked Joe Biden,” Trump declared.
“This is something that’s never happened in this country, even when you look at this, this is all about Biden. This should never have happened. But again, this is sponsored by the Democrats,” he stated further.
Trump referenced the charges against him in Special Counsel Smith’s classified records case, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
He drew a parallel to Biden, who is currently under investigation for a similar issue.
“I just hear where they want to try and exonerate Biden, and he didn’t have the Presidential Records Act. And I do. I did nothing wrong. You can’t have two tiers of justice in this country,” said the 45th president of the United States.
He also pointed to meetings between James and Biden in 2022 and 2023 at the White House, interpreting these as efforts at election interference.
Despite these challenges, Trump expressed confidence in his poll numbers, where he leads against Biden, and his desire to attend all his trials.
“These are all set up by Biden and the Democrats. This is their new form of cheating. This is like last time. This is their new form of cheating,” he concluded.
