(DCWatchdog.com) – During a pizza stop after a court appearance, former President Donald Trump was greeted by New York City Fire Department (FDNY) officials who said they hope he wins the election.
A video circulating on social media captured Trump interacting with FDNY firefighters. As he shook hands with the officers, one was heard saying, “Sir, save us please,” while others were seen agreeing.
This is not Trump’s first visit to this fire department. He was there in 2021 to mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Discussing the firefighters’ words, the FDNY stated, “We appreciate whoever supports our members at the FDNY, no matter their political affiliation.”
Trump’s visit happened during his ongoing trial in Manhattan, where District Attorney Alvin Bragg charged him over alleged payments to silence Stormy Daniels about their purported affair.
Recently, Trump also made a public appearance at a Harlem bodega, where he engaged with local workers about New York City’s skyrocketing crime rates.
His presence in Harlem drew significant attention, with a large crowd gathering and chanting in support as he mixed with local residents.
Additionally, union manager Bob Bartels revealed during an April visit to Steamfitters Local 638 that union members prefer Trump over Biden, with a poll indicating a “three to one” preference for Trump out of 9,000 surveyed members.
