McCarthy Lists Biden’s Crimes

(DCWatchdog.com) – In a decisive and long-awaited move, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has initiated an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden, listing six separate claims about the President’s alleged crimes.

“I am directing our House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Over the past several months, House Republicans have uncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden’s conduct—a culture of corruption,” McCarthy (R-CA) announced at a press conference on Tuesday.

The first of the allegations informing the impeachment probe against Biden that the Speaker stressed was the House Oversight Committee’s findings that Biden “did lie to the American people about his own knowledge of his family’s foreign business dealings.”

“Eyewitnesses have testified that the president joined on multiple phone calls and had multiple interactions, dinners, resulting in cars and millions of dollars into (sic) his son’s and his son’s business partners,” McCarthy declared.

Second on the list of Biden’s alleged crimes are bank records subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee showing “nearly $20 million in payments were directed to the Biden family members and associates through various shell companies.”

As a third reason for the impeachment probe, the House Speaker quoted the “more than 150 transactions involving the Biden family and other business associates that were flagged as suspicious activity by US banks,” as registered by the US Treasury Department.

Fourth, McCarthy mentioned the 2020 FBI informant file claiming that Joe Biden and Hunter Biden were bribed with $5 million each by wanted pro-Russian Ukrainian oligarch Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of now-defunct energy company Burisma.

The fifth impeachment investigation reason the Speaker cited was then-Vice President Joe Biden allegedly using “his official office to coordinate with Hunter Biden’s business partners about Hunter’s role in Burisma Ukrainian energy company.”

Leaks from the first son’s “laptop from hell” show his father used email aliases for such correspondence.

The House speaker referenced the US Justice Department’s investigation into Hunter Biden as a sixth impeachment probe argument.

“Despite the serious allegations, it appears that the president’s family has been offered special treatment by Biden’s own administration — treatment that [they] not otherwise would have received if they were not related to the President,” McCarthy declared.

“These are allegations of abuse of power, obstruction and corruption… I would encourage the President and his team to fully cooperate with this investigation in the interests of transparency. We are committed to getting the answers for the American public, nothing more, nothing less. We will go wherever the evidence takes us,” the Speaker concluded.
