(DCWatchdog.com) – The reckoning for the Biden family’s alleged crimes is now coming like a freight train as House Republicans are officially subpoenaing Joe Biden’s son and brother – Hunter and James – for congressional depositions over their corrupt foreign business dealings.
The GOP-led House Oversight Committee announced on Wednesday that it had moved to issue legal demands for testimony from various members of the Biden family and an important business associate.
These subpoenas are aimed at Hunter Biden, James Biden, and their business associate Rob Walker to scrutinize the family’s international business dealings, as declared by the committee, cited by The Daily Caller.
The subpoenas for Hunter Biden and James Biden were signed by the Republican Chairman of the Oversight Committee, James Come (R-KY).
“The House Oversight Committee has followed the money and built a record of evidence revealing how Joe Biden knew, was involved, and benefited from his family’s influence peddling schemes. Now, the House Oversight Committee is going to bring in members of the Biden family and their associates to question them on this record of evidence,” Comer declared in a statement.
He blasted President Joe Biden for purported misrepresentations about the family’s business activities, contrasting them with financial documents.
“Unlike the many lies President Biden told the American people about his family’s business schemes, bank records don’t lie. These records reveal how the Bidens sold Joe Biden around to the world to benefit the Biden family, including Joe Biden himself, to the detriment of U.S. interests,” the GOP lawmaker said.
He vowed his panel would hold the Bidens accountable together with the House Judiciary Committee and the Ways and Means Committee.
Additionally, Comer’s committee is seeking conversations with other Biden family members, former business associates, and otherwise connected persons, such as Sara Biden, Hallie Biden, Tony Bobulinski, Melissa Cohen, and Elizabeth Secundy.
A report from the House in September, before the launch of the impeachment inquiry into the president, stated that the Biden family and associates amassed over $24 million from Putin’s Russia, Communist China, Ukraine, Romania, and Kazakhstan between 2014 and 2019.
After a September hearing, Comer made known the issuance of subpoenas for the personal and business banking details of Hunter and James Biden.
Details emerged in October from the Oversight Committee about a transfer of $200,000 from James to Joe Biden, corresponding with a loan from the failing company Americore to James.
