(DCWatchdog.com) – The 2024 presidential election might very well end up being a rout for President Joe Biden, should he remain the Democrat candidate, as, for the first time, a poll has found that Donald Trump, the GOP nomination frontrunner, now leads the incumbent in all seven swing states.

With the approach of Election Day in less than a year, former President Trump is currently leading against President Joe Biden in crucial swing states, according to a recent Morning Consult poll.

The survey cited by National Review shows Trump ahead in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Notably, Trump’s lead in Georgia and North Carolina is significant, surpassing the margin of error, while in the other states his lead varies from 2 to 4 points, within the margin of error.

Across all these swing states combined, Trump has an advantage of 5 points over Biden, a lead well outside the margin of error.

While Biden still maintains support among Generation Z voters, with 44% favoring him compared to Trump’s 38%, there is a noticeable decline in his overall support.

This decline is partly due to perceived shortcomings in fulfilling promises related to student-loan forgiveness, as 43% of Gen Z voters believe Biden hasn’t done enough in this area.

Morning Consult’s U.S. political analyst Eli Yokley stressed that Biden “is making no gains among groups he is going to need to pull off a victory next year.”

Biden’s dwindling support is also linked to his approach to the economy and the Israel-Hamas war, where Trump is seen as more capable.

In the surveyed swing states, 51% trust Trump more with the economy, compared to 33% for Biden.

Similarly, 44% trust Trump more regarding the Middle East conflict, against Biden’s 33%.

The release of this poll coincides with the House Republicans passing a resolution to authorize the impeachment inquiry into Biden, which is a divisive issue among voters in the swing states.

Approximately 45% either strongly or somewhat support the impeachment probe, while 42% are opposed.

The Morning Consult survey, conducted from November 27 to December 6, involved 4,935 registered voters.

Moreover, a national poll by the Wall Street Journal reflects Trump’s increasing popularity, showing a 4-point lead over Biden, which extends to 6 points when considering five potential third-party candidates.

This poll also indicates Biden’s approval rating at 37%, a new low during his presidency.
