Presidential Election Poll Bombshell

(DCWatchdog.com) – After a poll revelation that could redefine the landscape ahead of the 2024 presidential election, former President and the most influential Republican of this era, Donald Trump, has surged ahead of Joe Biden by an astonishing 10 points in the pivotal state of Michigan, a state Biden had claimed victory in just last year.

The CNN/SSRS poll delivers a staggering blow, showing Trump with a commanding 10-point lead over Biden among registered voters in Michigan, and a significant 5-point advantage in Georgia. What’s more, majorities of registered voters in both of these swing states harbor deep reservations about Biden’s job performance, his policies, and even his mental sharpness, setting the stage for a high-stakes 2024 rematch with Trump.

In a remarkable turn of events, the former president, who had triumphed in both Michigan and Georgia against Hillary Clinton in 2016, only to lose them to Biden in 2020 narrowly, has now rallied substantial support. Trump has captured the hearts of voters who abstained from the 2020 elections, leading Biden by a resounding 26 points among this electorate in Georgia and an astonishing 40 points in Michigan, according to the survey. Even among those who voted in 2020, Trump emerges as the favored choice for 2024, with the former president retaining the loyalty of his backers from the last election cycle.

Biden, on the other hand, faces a daunting challenge in both states, with only 35% of Michigan voters approving of his job performance, while 39% express the same sentiment in Georgia, as per the poll. A clear majority in both states believe that Biden’s policies do not align with their expectations for a president, and a striking 69% of Michigan voters and 66% in Georgia hold unfavorable views regarding the president’s mental acuity and stamina.

This poll comes on the heels of numerous other national and swing-state polls, all pointing to Trump’s resurgence and his lead over Biden in a hypothetical 2024 rematch. In the RealClearPolitics average, Trump currently holds a 2.2-point advantage over Biden.

In a further twist, Trump gains ground among voters under the age of 45, leading the president by a solid margin of 50% to 40% in Georgia and 49% to 38% in Michigan, as revealed by the survey.

Even when confronted by independent contenders Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West on the ballot, Trump maintains his lead. The independents, collectively garnering 26% support in Michigan and 21% in Georgia, widen Trump’s lead by 3 points in the latter but diminish it by 2 points in the former.

Adding fuel to the fire, Trump dominates the GOP primaries in both states, commanding 58% support in Michigan and 55% in Georgia, leaving Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis far behind with 15%, closely trailed by former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley at 13%. In Georgia, DeSantis and Haley are tied for second place at 17%.

This groundbreaking CNN/SSRS survey polled 1,197 registered voters in Michigan and 1,068 registered voters in Georgia between Nov. 30 and Dec. 7, with margins of error of plus or minus 3.4% and 3.3%, respectively. Neither the Trump nor Biden campaigns have offered immediate responses to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s inquiries.
