Notorious Lib: GOP Wants Slavery Back (Video)

(DCWatchdog.com) – Apparently driven by desperation over the 2024 election forecasts, leftist scaremongering is getting more absurd by the day, as now Hollywood propagandist Whoopi Goldberg has accused the GOP of wanting to “bring slavery back” because of an 1864 Arizona abortion law.

On Wednesday, Whoopi Goldberg, a co-host on “The View,” passionately argued that Republicans seem intent on reviving a bygone era marked by the suppression of rights, specifically referencing a move by Arizona to re-enact a Civil War-era abortion prohibition.

The Arizona Supreme Court recently decreed that the 1864 legislation, which virtually outlaws all abortions except in instances where the woman’s life is at risk and imposes a felony charge with a potential five-year prison term for anyone performing the abortion, is now enforceable.

“Take a look at the things that they’re rolling back. Remember what I said ages ago, you know, in their minds they want to bring slavery back. They’re okay with it because you see, things change,” Goldberg asserted.

“You know, one of the good things about the Supreme Court is you can fight to make sure you make stuff better. You don’t generally fight to make stuff worse. And to me—or to roll back—and to me, if you’re okay with rolling that back, when things were not even a state when we had no say, so how’s that gonna roll? How’s that gonna roll with the next thing? Because with all of this comes birth control, with all of this comes everything that you need as a woman to have had put in place to make sure that we were doing better than we were before,” she claimed further.

Ana Navarro, another co-host on the show, articulated that Arizona’s ruling is a direct fallout from Donald Trump’s term as president. She emphasized the power of voting as a means to prevent further encroachments on personal freedoms.

“We have a way to stop this. Electing a Congress that won’t impose a federal ban, electing a president who will stand between us and more rights being taken away. Us turning into the Handmaid’s Tale,” Navarro advised.

“Electing governors, electing senators, we have a way to stop this and it is our vote. So women, we need to stand in solidarity with each other. Men, you need to stand in solidarity with us and we need to roll this back and take back our agency and our right to choose what we do with our bodies,” she argued.

Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out the dismay among Republican women regarding the abortion restrictions enacted in numerous states.

She highlighted the stance of Kari Lake, a Republican running for senator in Arizona, who labeled the bans as “extreme.”
