(DCWatchdog.com) – President Joe Biden’s reelection prospects are rapidly collapsing from bad to abysmal as the latest polling shows him losing even in the vital battleground state of Michigan, where the leading 2024 Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump enjoys a double-digit lead.

Trump has now established a considerable advantage over President Joe Biden in the crucial swing state of Michigan, according to the latest CNN Poll, cited by Breitbart News.

This survey reveals that Trump is ahead of Biden by eight points nationally, standing at 39% compared to Biden’s 31%, in a scenario that includes independent candidates.

This lead expands in specific states, notably in Michigan, where Trump’s advantage over Biden is ten points — 50% to Biden’s 40%, with another % of respondents indicating they would not support either candidate.

Moreover, the survey indicates that Trump is leading Biden by five points in Georgia, with a 49% to 44% margin.

“Trump’s margin over Biden in the hypothetical matchup is significantly boosted by support from voters who say they did not cast a ballot in 2020, with these voters breaking in Trump’s favor by 26 points in Georgia and 40 points in Michigan,” CNN writes.

“Those who report having voted in 2020 say they broke for Biden over Trump in that election, but as of now, they tilt in Trump’s favor for 2024 in both states, with Biden holding on to fewer of his 2020 backers than does Trump,” the leftist news outlet elaborates.

To provide context, Trump narrowly won Michigan in 2016 by 0.3% but lost the state in 2020 by 2.8%.

The Michigan poll, conducted from November 29 to December 6 among 1,197 registered voters, and the Georgia poll, conducted from November 30 to December 7 among 1,068 registered voters, both indicate that Trump’s lead is beyond the margin of error in each state — 3.4% for Michigan and 3.3% for Georgia.

These findings align with other surveys that show Trump leading Biden in crucial swing states.

A Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll released in November demonstrated Trump’s lead in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, with a tie in Michigan.

Similarly, a New York Times/Siena poll from the same month showed Trump leading in Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and specifically in Michigan, where he led by five points.
