Kamala Attacks Supreme Court

Kamala Harris

(DCWatchdog.com) – In the latest outrageous comments by Kamala Harris, the far-left vice president has declared her concerns regarding the potential actions of the United States Supreme Court, accusing it of potentially threatening “fundamental freedoms.”

In a conversation with The New York Times, she reflected on the implications of the court’s 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

“This court has shown itself to be an activist court. I worry about fundamental freedoms across the board,” Harris stated.

Harris carefully avoided specifying which legal precedents she feared might next be overturned, citing her reluctance to sound “alarmist.”

“But this court has made it very clear that they are willing to undo recognized rights,” she emphasized.

The vice president hinted at the broader implications of certain justices’ viewpoints, particularly pointing to Justice Clarence Thomas.

“You could even look at Clarence Thomas saying a lot of the quiet part out loud,” she remarked.

“Just look at what he said and then maybe that gives us some indication. Just look at one of the justices to see where they might go next,” Biden’s veep added.

In the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling, Harris has prominently represented the White House in addressing the repercussions, which include a wave of stringent abortion restrictions implemented by various Republican-led states.

Her observations resonate with President Biden’s critique of the Supreme Court’s recent decisions, which have not only reversed the established right to an abortion but also dismantled affirmative action measures.

Specifically, Justice Thomas suggested in his opinion on the Roe case that the court “should reconsider all of this Court’s substantive due process precedents,” referencing past decisions that have supported the availability of contraceptives and the rights to gay marriage.

Addressing the transformative nature of recent judicial decisions, President Biden expressed last year, “This is not a normal court.”

“Take a look at how its ruled on a number of issues that have been precedent for 50, 60 years sometimes. And that’s what I meant by not normal. Across the board, the vast majority of the American people don’t agree with majority of decisions the court is making,” Biden said in a later interview.
