Hunter Sues; REVENGE Porn!?

Hunter Biden

(DCWatchdog.com) – In what might as well be described as a misguided attempt to defend his notorious name, scandalous First Son Hunter Biden is suing Fox News for violating “revenge porn” laws, contending that the network unjustly created and aired a fictional series featuring a fictitious trial of him.

The series also included the display of explicit images of Biden, National Review points out in a report.

The program, titled “The Trial of Hunter Biden,” was allegedly designed by Fox News to target Biden “in an effort to harass, annoy, alarm, and humiliate him, and tarnish his reputation,” according to the lawsuit.

Biden’s legal action, filed in the Supreme Court of New York County, demands a jury trial to determine if Fox News should be held liable for damages and stripped of the right to distribute explicit images of him.

The controversial series presented a scenario where Hunter Biden was accused of bribery and violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), related to his profitable foreign business activities.

It included a judge, witnesses, and evidence purportedly from Biden’s discarded laptop, which contained explicit images that the lawsuit claims were shared without his consent.

“Fox published and disseminated these Intimate Images to its vast audience of millions as part of an entertainment program in order to humiliate, harass, annoy, and alarm Mr. Biden and to tarnish his reputation,” the lawsuit states.

The dissemination of images from Biden’s laptop, which depicted his involvement in drug-related activities, was halted on Twitter, now known as X, last year due to a violation of the platform’s “revenge porn” policy.

The lawsuit suggests that the widespread circulation of these images caused Biden substantial emotional distress and lasting damage to his reputation.

In response to a warning from Biden’s legal team about the impending lawsuit, Fox News removed the series in April. Prior to its removal, the series was accessible on Fox News’s streaming service and other popular streaming platforms.

Although Hunter Biden is a convicted felon and is slated for another trial in September, he has not faced charges related to FARA or bribery.

“This entirely politically motivated lawsuit is devoid of merit. The core complaint stems from a 2022 streaming program that Mr. Biden did not complain about until sending a letter in late April 2024,” a Fox News spokesperson commented.

“The program was removed within days of the letter, in an abundance of caution, but Hunter Biden is a public figure who has been the subject of multiple investigations and is now a convicted felon. Consistent with the First Amendment, FOX News has accurately covered the newsworthy events of Mr. Biden’s own making, and we look forward to vindicating our rights in court,” the official added.

Hunter Biden’s recent legal tactics include filing significant civil lawsuits against political adversaries. Last year, he sued former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani concerning the spread of his abandoned laptop’s contents, a lawsuit he later withdrew following his gun conviction last month.
