Biden BLASTS ‘Dangerous Precedent’ – Video

Joe Biden

( – Joe Biden slammed the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision and called it a “dangerous precedent” for giving former President Donald Trump broad immunity from charges stemming from the Democrat-led criminal cases regarding the 2020 election.

In a 5-minute speech from the White House, Biden said the 6-3 ruling “undermined the rule of law” and did a “terrible disservice to the people of this nation” since it means Trump is less likely to face legal consequences for inciting the January 6 attack on the US Capitol.

Citing Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s disagreement, Biden echoed her words, saying: “I dissent.”

The ruling means voters will have to decide if Trump, the leading GOP candidate, deserves to be president again.

“This nation was founded on the principle that there are no kings in America,” said Biden, in his public remarks since a weekend family gathering to discuss the future of his own candidacy, seemingly imperiled following a disastrous performance in a televised debate with Trump last week.

The Democrat continued, “[W]ith today’s supreme court decision on presidential immunity that fundamentally changed for all practical purposes. Today’s decision almost certainly means that there are virtually no limits to what the president can do.”

“This is a fundamentally new principle. It’s a dangerous precedent, because the power of the office will no longer be constrained by the law, even including the supreme court in the United States, the only limits will be self-imposed by the president alone,” he added.

Moreover, Biden said the ruling forces voters to decide if Trump has the character to restrain his behavior if he returns to the White House.

He also contrasted his respect for presidential limits with Trump’s potential for unchecked power.

This speech allowed the 81-year-ol senile Democrat to reassert his authority after recent doubts about his candidacy following a weak debate performance where he struggled against Trump’s false claims and appeared unsure at times.

In turn, he used the moment to criticize the Supreme Court’s recent conservative rulings, influenced by three justices appointed by Trump.

“This decision today continues the court’s attack on a wide range of long-established legal principles in our nation – from gutting voting rights and civil rights to taking away a woman’s right to choose, to today’s decision that undermines the rule of law of this nation,” Biden said.
