Calling out fellow party members for their increasingly crazy messaging, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) has broken ranks with the far-left wing of the Democrat Party.
Specifically, the senator defended the U.S. military parade commemorating the Army’s 250th anniversary and maintained his unwavering support for Israel.
Fetterman was rejected by his own party after refusing to cave to progressive pressure, exposing a growing rift between moderate Democrats and their increasingly radical base.
The senator expressed confusion after being booed at Philadelphia’s “No Kings Day” rally by fellow Democrats who opposed a military parade celebrating America’s armed forces.
The senator called out the absurdity of such opposition, highlighting how this shows the extreme anti-military sentiment growing within his party.
“I’m not sure why Democrats would boo a fellow Democrat, but that’s their prerogative,” Fetterman stated.
Fetterman’s most scathing criticism came when addressing comparisons some Democrats made between the U.S. military parade and authoritarian displays in countries like North Korea or Nazi Germany.
These comparisons reveal just how far the Democrat Party has shifted to the radical left.
“There was no goose-stepping, and… first of all, stop ever comparing anyone, anything, to the Nazis and those kinds of things. That’s crazy,” Fetterman declared.
By doing so, the senator has pushed back against the inflammatory rhetoric used by the progressive wing of his party.
On foreign policy, Fetterman again defied the far-left by reaffirming his steadfast support for Israel, America’s strongest ally in the Middle East.
He opposed Senator Bernie Sanders’ “No War Against Iran Act,” recognizing the dangerous reality of Iran’s nuclear ambitions that many in his party choose to ignore.
“I am always going to stand with Israel through this,” Fetterman stated firmly, refusing to bow to anti-Israel pressure that has become increasingly mainstream in Democrat circles.
Fetterman’s stance on immigration also showed a departure from progressive thinking.
While he opposes mass deportation of law-abiding immigrants, he supports removing illegal aliens with criminal records.
This common-sense position aligns with what most Americans believe but contradicts the open-borders agenda pushed by many Democrats.
The senator’s willingness to break with his party on these critical issues highlights the growing disconnect between everyday Americans and the increasingly radical Democrat Party.
While Fetterman faces criticism from the left, his positions on military appreciation, support for Israel, and sensible immigration enforcement represent a breath of fresh air.
Fetterman’s stance suggests that at least some Democrats recognize how out of touch their party has become with most Americans. However, whether the party will take the correct course remains to be seen.
