Trump-Hating DA’s Lover Did What?!

(DCWatchdog.com) – After being forced to resign the case against former President Donald Trump, District Attorney Fani Willis’ controversial lover, former special prosecutor Nathan Wade, made a striking entrance at Fulton County District Attorney’s primary election victory celebration.

Wade appeared at the Atlanta event with “all smiles,” much to the astonishment of attendees.

The gathering was to honor Willis, who secured a victory over her challenger, attorney and author Christian Wise Smith, in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood. This win came despite ongoing scrutiny over Willis’ alleged misuse of taxpayer funds and her professional and personal connections to Wade.

“We can’t keep turning a blind eye to what’s going on in that office,” Wise Smith declared just the day before the election and criticized the current state of affairs in Fulton County.

“Chaos. Corruption. It’s time for us in Fulton County to stand up and take our justice system back,” Smith urged voters.

Despite these controversies, Willis’s stature was enhanced significantly due to her leadership of the historic Trump investigation, which did not figure in her recent three-minute campaign advertisement.

Moreover, allegations have clouded Willis’ tenure since January, nearly five months after she charged Trump and 18 others in a major racketeering case, with four defendants already pleading guilty. Reports emerged of her “improper” relationship with Wade, the prosecutor she appointed for the 2020 election case.

In February, Willis acknowledged the relationship, which led to Wade’s resignation, mandated by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee.

However, the situation has attracted the attention of national lawmakers.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) is examining whether Willis improperly used federal funds from the Department of Justice in her investigation of Trump.

Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Johnson (R-WI) are conducting a parallel inquiry at the federal level, while a Georgia Senate special committee is looking into potential conflicts of interest and misuse of public funds by Willis in relation to her relationship with Wade.

Willis has refused to testify in the state Senate’s investigation and questioned the lawmakers’ authority to compel her testimony.

Looking forward, Willis will compete against Republican Courtney Kramer in the upcoming general election, whom she has criticized as “unqualified” for the district attorney position.
