(DCWatchdog.com) – A new batch of disgraceful insights about the first family have emerged as Hallie Biden, Hunter Biden’s sister-in-law, who later became his lover, has testified in the scandalous first son’s gun trail that she felt “ashamed” of the things she did with him – like smoking crack cocaine.
Hallie Biden, offered testimony on Thursday, stating that Hunter introduced her to crack cocaine in the summer of 2018.
“I regret that time of my life,” she stated, as cited by The New York Post.
Hallie, the widow of Hunter’s brother Beau Biden, described to a federal court the circumstances under which she discarded a .38-caliber revolver that Hunter had allegedly acquired illegally.
“I was just panicking,” she said.
Her testimony occurred under the protection of immunity, and she faced intense scrutiny from defense attorney Abbe Lowell during cross-examination.
On October 23, 2018, Hallie discovered the firearm. She testified that she had not seen Hunter for some time when he appeared at her residence, visibly fatigued and disheveled, suggesting he might not have slept in a considerable period.
When asked by prosecutor Leo Wise if Hunter was under the influence of drugs at that time, Hallie indicated it was a possibility.
She recounted cleaning Hunter’s Ford Raptor truck in an attempt to eliminate any substances that could jeopardize his sobriety.
Inside the vehicle, she found not only trash and clothes but also traces of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, and notably, the firearm.
“I panicked and I wanted to get rid of them,” she declared, referring to the Colt Cobra revolver and its ammunition.
“I didn’t want him to hurt himself or [for] my kids to find it and hurt themselves. I considered hiding it somewhere but I was afraid one of my children would find it. I was afraid to kind of touch it. I didn’t know if it was loaded,” Hallie said.
To conceal the gun, Hallie used a plastic shopping bag and then a brown leather pouch, which she later disposed of in a trash bin at a local grocery store.
“I was so flustered from the whole thing. I realize it was a stupid idea now, but I was just panicking,” she said.
This action was captured on surveillance, with footage shown to the jurors of her discarding the pouch and unsuccessfully attempting to retrieve it approximately half an hour later.
Hallie confirmed she did not inform Hunter of her actions, although he quickly grew suspicious and confronted her via text. She confessed that.
“He was angry with me. When I looked for it and didn’t find it, he told me to file a police report for it. Because it was registered in his name,” Hallie said.
Hallie also divulged details about her and Hunter’s history, revealing their romantic involvement began shortly after Beau’s death in 2015. She initially discovered crack in her home, leading her to research the substance.
Hallie testified that Hunter was the one who introduced her to the drug during a trip in California, an experience she profoundly regrets.
“I found it [crack] and Googled it because I didn’t know what it was. He told me what it was, crack cocaine.”
When asked “who had introduced you” to crack, Hallie said, “Hunter did.”
“It was a terrible experience I went through and I’m embarrassed and I’m ashamed. I regret that time of my life,” she declared, adding that she quit by August 2018 but Hunter Bidne kept using the drug.
