Wife of Justice Thomas Called On To Testify Before Jan. 6 Committee

Ginni and Clarence Thomas

(DCWatchdog.com) – In what may be a first in the history of the United States of America, Ginni Thomas, the wife of United States Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, has been called to appear and testify under oath before the United States House of Representatives Select Committee investigating the protest and crimes that took place at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The committee wants to question Thomas about her actions — particularly dozens of emails to state and federal officials — leading up to that momentous day.

And, if at least one report is accurate, Thomas has agreed to do so to “clear up misconceptions” about her actions.

According to the Daily Caller:

“Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, told the Daily Caller on Thursday that she ‘can’t wait to clear up misconceptions’ amid news that the January 6 House Select Committee plans to seek her testimony…

“‘I can’t wait to clear up misconceptions. I look forward to talking to them,’ Thomas told the Caller in response to the news, suggesting she would comply with a request to testify.

Thomas did not immediately respond when pressed on what misconceptions the committee has.” [emphasis added]

What is your opinion about the United States House of Representatives Select Committee investigating the protest and crimes at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, requesting Ginni Thomas, the wife of a sitting United States Supreme Court Justice, to testify before the committee? Should Thomas sit before the committee and submit to questioning under oath about her actions leading up to the protests and crimes at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021? Why or why not?
