(DCWatchdog.com) – The outrageous illegal immigrant invasion inflicting severe damage on the nation has also caused tremendous tension inside the Biden administration, which is responsible for it, with Cabinet members calling each other names, according to a report citing insiders.
Susan Rice, a key former aide to President Joe Biden, harshly criticized Xavier Becerra, the Health and Human Services secretary, over the handling of the migrant crisis, pro-left news outlet Axios reveals.
Rice allegedly referred to Becerra with derogatory terms such as a “b—h a–” and “idiot.”
This situation underscores the internal discord within the White House, according to Axios, The New York Post reports.
Rice served as President Biden’s domestic policy adviser from January 2021 to May 2023
The friction didn’t stop with Becerra. Rice reportedly confronted Vice President Kamala Harris, Homeland Security adviser Liz Sherwood-Randall, and other officials involved in the administration’s efforts to manage border issues.
The root of Rice’s frustration with Becerra was attributed to his inability to secure additional facilities for housing child migrants.
In one case, she reportedly warned Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas against rescuing Becerra from President Biden’s disapproval during a meeting.
Rice was also critical of Harris, accusing her of failing to lead on immigration policy despite being appointed Biden’s point person on border issues.
In private discussions, Rice speculated that Harris might have sabotaged her chance to be Biden’s vice presidential pick in 2020 by spreading damaging opposition research.
Moreover, some of Harris’ staff members reportedly belittled Rice, who had previously served as the US ambassador to the United Nations under President Obama, by dismissing her as just a “staffer.”
However, these allegations were contested by a former policy adviser to both Rice and Harris.
Carmel Martin told Axios there was collaboration between Rice, Harris, and their teams to tackle the complexities of migration.
Additionally, a representative for Rice firmly denied the claims made in the report.
The tension within the administration extended to President Biden himself, the news outlet claims.
During a meeting on Air Force One in late January 2023, Biden demanded specific immigration data and was irritated when he didn’t get immediate answers.
“There are definite incentives … to not be the person who owns the scary issue with no solutions. If you’re the person briefing the president, you get to piss him off every day,” a source said.
