(DCWatchdog.com) – In a devastating and apparently perfectly justified attack on Tim Walz, a Minnesota business owner has hammed the Democrat vice-presidential candidate and his state’s governor as an “evil person” and “complete dictator” during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Greg Urban, runs a business in the North Star State, criticized the Democratic vice-presidential candidate on Fox News Wednesday, accusing him of oppressive governance during the COVID-19 pandemic as Minnesota’s governor.
Urban denounced the stringent lockdown measures Walz implemented, which included the establishment of a hotline for reporting violations of stay-at-home policies and discouragement of Thanksgiving gatherings.
On “America Reports,” Urban labeled Walz as a despotic and malevolent leader during the pandemic, describing him as more extreme in his policies than Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom.
“Walz was a complete dictator through that whole period. Really an evil person, more than a dictator. He actually made it illegal for families to gather for Christmas and Thanksgiving,” Urban stated.
“Illegal. And so people then, if they saw their neighbor carrying out a turkey leg on Thanksgiving, they could call the tip line, and Walz could dispatch his COVID police to come take them to jail,” he added, cited by The Daily Caller.
“I heard the comment yesterday that Walz is Gavin Newsom with less hair and wearing flannel. The reality is, Walz, I think, is more radical left than Gavin Newsom. He just, in a state of 5 million people, I think it slides under the radar a little bit, but Tim Walz was an absolute dictator, and the idea of minding your own damn business sure did not happen with him,” Urban elaborated.
In addition to his political grievances, Urban shared that he closed his Minneapolis establishment, Wild Greg’s Saloon, in August 2022 due to escalating crime and COVID-19 restrictions.
“There was no road map ahead. Minneapolis was a failed city, and it really hasn’t gotten any better. We’re losing money every single month where every other city came back very quickly from COVID,” Urban explained.
“And you can only lose money so many months in a row as a business owner before you have to pull the pin, and nobody would come downtown Minneapolis, or anywhere in Minneapolis. They were scared because of the crime. A lot of people were getting mugged, their cars stolen, cars broken into. There were no police,” he elaborated.
The unrest following George Floyd’s death in 2020 exacerbated the situation in Minneapolis, leading to significant property damage and looting.
Despite the escalating violence, Walz hesitated to deploy the National Guard, contending that such a move would likely provoke further disturbances.
