(DCWatchdog.com) – Seemingly mocking the large segment of the pro-life movement within the Republican Party that believes life begins at conception, United States House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said during a news conference just a short while ago, “There are those in the [Republican] Party that think life begins at the candlelight dinner the night before.”
You can watch the video clip of Pelosi a bit further down this post.
While discussing newly introduced Republican legislation that would outlaw abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy, Pelosi said:
“There is a conflict within the Republican Party. There are those in the Party that think life begins at the candlelight dinner the night before. And these people [those supporting the new 15-week legislation] are in defiance of that. They’re in defiance of that. Because they’re saying whatever they’re saying about it. So, that’s what you’re seeing there. But we are united in our support for women’s right to choose.” [emphasis added]
