(DCWatchdog.com) – Traveling to Buffalo, New York today, just days after a gunman shot and killed ten people there, President Joe Biden, with First Lady Jill Biden at his side, called the attack at a grocery store there on Saturday “domestic terrorism.”
You can watch the video further down this post.
Condemning what he branded a “murderous, racist rampage,” Biden used his remarks to address white supremacy, saying it has no place in American society.
“White supremacy is a poison…and it’s been allowed to fester and grow right in front of our eyes,” Biden said. “No more.”
Biden proclaimed, “In America, evil will not win, I promise you. Hate will not prevail. And white supremacy will not have the last word.”
As The Washington Post noted in its reporting, “Biden has long spoken out about the dangers of White supremacy and has repeatedly referenced the white pride march in Charlottesville in 2017 as one of his chief inspirations to run for the presidency. Biden invoked that episode again on Tuesday, reiterating that it was what drove him to run for office once again.”
