(DCWatchdog.com) – In a new testimony of the left’s failure to sway conservative Americans, Vice President Kamala Harris is encountering a significant backlash from Christian voters due to her outreach efforts and policy stances.

Her recent “souls to the polls” campaign aimed at mobilizing voter turnout through church visits has intensified the criticism.

Many argue her endorsement of policies conflicting with traditional religious values has alienated Christian communities.

Catholic voters, a crucial demographic in U.S. elections, are particularly displeased.

Kamala Harris is polling worse than President Joe Biden among Catholics, a group pivotal in past election victories.

Her recent actions, such as skipping the Archdiocese of New York’s annual Al Smith Dinner, have not favored her efforts to garner Catholic support, The New York Post points out in a report.

Her policies and past remarks have raised questions about her sincerity in reaching out to religious voters. Critics argue that her support for the Equality Act and other legislations contrary to traditional Christian teachings has alienated many.

Her actions, like questioning judicial nominees based on their Catholic affiliations, further exacerbate the issue.

“Kamala’s definitely been impacted negatively by a lack of support from Catholic voters,” said Ryan Girdusky, a GOP strategist and Catholic.

“She’s polling worse than Joe Biden among a very important demographic. They are the largest single church in America, the Catholic vote will help decide the presidency,” he added.

Harris has attempted to make inroads with Christian voters by emphasizing her faith in public appearances.

However, her efforts, as seen in her recent visit to Koinonia Christian Center Church in North Carolina, haven’t swayed critics.

Conservative commentators point out the media’s lopsided treatment defending Democrats’ engagement with religious groups while scrutinizing Republicans and conservatives.

Conservative figure Franklin Graham firmly voiced his disapproval of Harris, stating, “My father was a strong conservative all of his life, theologically as well as politically. He would have never voted for or supported someone like Kamala Harris — someone who is almost anti-Christ in her positions.”

His remarks reflect widespread disappointment among faith communities who align their beliefs with conservative values.

The administration’s perceived targeting of traditional Catholics through federal enforcement actions has led to accusations of harboring hostility towards Christian institutions.

Critics maintain that Harris’s stance on numerous issues, including abortion and gender ideology, exacerbate her disconnect with faith-filled communities across the nation.
