Trump Can Put THIS State in the Win Column

(DCWatchdog.com) – In great news for Trump supporters, a revealing new poll from The Washington Post shows that the GOP presidential candidate is leading Vice President Kamala Harris decisively among likely voters in Ohio.

This echoes the former president’s success in the 2020 election, emphasizing Ohio’s crucial role in the political landscape.

As Democrats strive to reclaim this key battleground state, they are trying but seemingly failing to address the concerns and frustrations of Ohio’s electorate, reports indicate.

Former President Donald Trump has a significant six-point lead over Vice President Kamala Harris among likely Ohio voters, underscoring his continued popularity in this pivotal swing state.

This gap mirrors his eight-point advantage over President Joe Biden in 2020, reflecting consistent support from Ohioans.

Trump’s candidacy harnesses robust backing, especially among white voters, as he maintains his appeal with a 50% favorability rating.

On the other hand, Harris garners more support from black voters, revealing a clear racial divide in preferences. Women voters appear split between the candidates, adding a layer of complexity to the electoral battle in Ohio.

Independents further complicate the scenario as they remain evenly divided, showing no clear swing towards either candidate.

Inflation and preserving democracy emerge as key issues influencing voter preferences in Ohio.

With honesty and trustworthiness marking the vital qualities for choosing a candidate, both campaigns face challenges in appealing to these values.

A significant 88% of likely voters have firmly decided on their choice, showcasing entrenched opinions that will be hard to sway before Election Day.

“Donald Trump is well-positioned, once again, to carry Ohio’s 17 electoral votes, but split-ticket voting enhances Sherrod Brown’s Senate re-election prospects,” says Dr. Lee M. Miringoff, Director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion.

“Right now, he’s carrying seven percent of Trump’s backers but losing only one percent of Harris’ backers to his opponent Bernie Moreno,” he adds.

Despite the challenges, the Democratic incumbent in the Senate race, Sherrod Brown, leads his Republican challenger, Bernie Moreno, by two points.

This suggests some level of bipartisan support for Brown, reinforcing the notion of split-ticket voting within the state.

Republicans currently enjoy an eight-point lead on the generic congressional ballot, reinforcing their stronghold in Ohio’s political arena.

Confidence in the upcoming election’s integrity is surprisingly high, with 78% of Ohio residents expressing trust in the process.

However, President Biden’s approval rating struggles at a mere 39%, highlighting dissatisfaction that could impact Democrat strategies.

Contrasting poll numbers on a national level reflect a tight race, though Harris shows a slight lead.
