They’re Rushing the Border

(DCWatchdog.com) – In a new episode of the illegal immigrant invasion, amid the anticipated resurgence of Donald Trump’s immigration policies, a significant surge of migrants has been spotted at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Despite the well-known strict stance that the former president takes on immigration, human smugglers have persuaded many migrants to make the dangerous journey.

Following Donald Trump’s recent 2024 election victory, there’s a marked increase in illegal border crossings fueled by fears of stricter laws to come.

Human smugglers are taking advantage of this insecurity by urging migrants to cross before he’s sworn in, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

The southern border remains a focal point in Trump’s policy, and Texas is bracing itself for the potential rise in illegal crossings.

In one particular instance, over 100 migrants, primarily from Central and South America, crossed into Eagle Pass, Texas.

They were promptly intercepted by the Border Patrol, but the tale doesn’t end here.

Many of these individuals made the journey because they’re deeply apprehensive about the new policies awaiting them.

Smugglers are reportedly advising crossings in areas where state troopers may not have the same power to detain.

This rush didn’t come unexpectedly. Trump’s approach has always been clear: a fortified border with secure entry points.

In his victory speech, he assured that immediate actions would take place on this front.

“Trump’s victory speech promised immediate actions to secure the southern border, including mass deportations,” The Economic Times notes in a report.

Yet, for many migrants, entering the country now seems their only hope, even amidst threats of future deportations.

With free communication over platforms like WhatsApp, migrants are cleverly planning their moves, underscoring modern technology’s impact in aiding such crossings.

While officials are aware and intervening, it raises concerns about the potency of existing strategies.

As 3,000 more migrants form caravans in southern Mexico, many look back at the last four years and wonder if reversed policies under the current administration contributed to the increase in these migrant encounters.

Texas is already seeing about 300 illegal immigrants entering Eagle Pass daily, highlighting the pressing need for reinforced measures.

Trump’s plans to resume border wall construction, bring back the Remain in Mexico program, and increase deportation efforts are rooted deeply in his resolve to reclaim border security and national sovereignty.
