(DCWatchdog.com) – The left’s political prospects aren’t rosy as now even a CNN journalist has sounded the alarm that President Joe Biden “is in trouble” with Democrat voters – but, paradoxically enough, that is for doing the right thing by supporting US ally Israel against vicious Islamist terrorists.
A massive rift among Democrats seems to have emerged since October 7, when Palestinian terror group Hamas brutally massacred over 1,400 people in Israel – as the radical leftist Democrats are taking the side of the terrorists.
CNN’s political correspondent John King has now highlighted President Joe Biden’s challenges with specific voter demographics in the wake of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
King’s analysis pointed out that in states like Michigan, and particularly among younger voters, there is a perception that Biden has not been assertive enough in dealing with Israel, and there is growing support for a ceasefire.
During a discussion with CNN’s Poppy Harlow, King shared his observations from a visit to Michigan, a state with a significant Arab-American population.
“I was in Tlaib’s district for part of the trip, two college campuses, one in Detroit, one up in Ann Arbor, then in her district, which overlaps Dearborn, there are more than 200,000 Arab-Americans in Michigan … they voted overwhelmingly for President Biden,” the political correspondent said.
“If you pick up The Arab-American News right now, the newspaper on the front page are Arab Americans who voted Biden holding placards saying ‘Abandon Biden.’ So among Arab-American voters critical in Michigan, and look at this on college campuses, the president, at the moment, is in trouble,” King elaborated.
This sentiment is supported by data from a Quinnipiac poll, which revealed a generational divide among Democrats regarding views on Israel and Biden’s approach to the conflict, The Daily Caller points out in a report.
The poll indicated that 52% of Democrats under 35 years old believe it is not in the United States’ best interest to support Israel, and only 21% in this age group think it is wise for the US to financially support Israel.
Further complicating matters for Biden is the stance of the National Muslim Democratic Council, comprised of Democratic Party leaders from pivotal swing states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
This group has threatened to withhold their support if Biden does not endorse a ceasefire in the conflict – which analysts agree would benefit the terrorists.
