The Democrats ‘Five-Alarm Fire’ – DC Watchdog

The Democrats ‘Five-Alarm Fire’

( – It’s not often we find ourselves agreeing with CNN political analyst Van Jones. But, during last night’s coverage of the 2021 elections, he hit the nail on the proverbial head more than once as he described just how much trouble the Democrat Party is in politically as it got shellacked in the Virginia gubernatorial race and may even lose the governor’s mansion in New Jersey.

During the coverage, Van Jones, an extremely liberal Democrat if ever there was one, at various times described what happened to the Democrats as:

  • “A five-alarm fire.”
  • “These numbers are bad.”
  • Voters “have abandoned us in droves.”
  • Democrats are “annoying and offensive and out of touch.”
  • “I think there is a message here.”
  • “This is a big, big wake-up call.”

And on and on, Van Jones went saying what is obviously and demonstrably true given the results from across the nation last night.

What is that truth?

Just one year after President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris led the Democrats to victories in the White House, the House of Representatives, and the Senate, the American electorate is resoundingly rejecting their brand of liberalism and socialism.

It’s a plain as the nose on your face.

Americans are angry at the Democrat Party. They went to the polls in droves to express that anger yesterday in New Jersey, Virginia, and numerous other states and localities across the country.

And the biggest shocker may be yet to come.

If Democrat New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy loses his reelection race to Republican Jack Ciattarelli, as the saying goes, Katy bar the door.

Currently, as we publish this piece, that race is dead-even with Ciattarelli leading by .03%. Murphy will probably still pull it out, but there isn’t a Democrat in Washington who had any clue New Jersey residents – who pay the highest property taxes in the nation and are sick of that reality – are as angry and motivated as they are to get rid of Democrats.

Clearly, just one year after the Biden/Harris victory, the country’s mood has shifted to the right, and it may be there to stay for quite some time.
