Late last night, without a single Republican vote, Democrats in the House of Representatives passed a massive bill that would overhaul and mandate how states conduct elections. Among many provisions, it would outlaw state Voter ID laws. While the bill is almost certain to die in the Senate, it indicates what Democrats will do if they can gain more seats in the Senate in the 2022 mid-term elections.
“The House late Wednesday night passed expansive legislation to create uniform national voting standards, overhaul campaign finance laws and outlaw partisan redistricting, advancing a centerpiece of the Democratic voting rights agenda amid fierce Republican attacks that threaten to stop it cold in the Senate,”… according to The Washington Post.
“The bill’s voting provisions would guarantee no-excuse mail voting and at least 15 days of early voting for federal elections; require states to use their existing government records to automatically register citizens to vote; restore voting rights to felons who have completed their prison sentences; and mandate the use of paper ballots. [emphasis added]
“Other provisions would create new disclosure requirements for “dark money” donations to political groups; require states to appoint independent commissions to draw congressional districts; and create new federal standards for election equipment vendors.
“The bill also would require tech platforms to disclose political advertising information; establish a code of ethics for Supreme Court justices for the first time; restructure the Federal Election Commission to an odd number of members to break partisan deadlocks; and require presidential candidates to disclose their tax returns.” [emphasis added]

Please share your thoughts in the comment section. Do you believe that each state should have the right to determine how it conducts elections? Or, should there be a federal law that mandates how the states conduct elections?
Every single American should be OUTRAGED by this:
Democrats just voted to ban voter ID nationwide and force every state to permanently expand mail-in voting.
