In a move that places him at odds with many of his Republican Senate colleagues and Trump supporters across the country, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) made it clear today that he believes former President Donald Trump committed an impeachable offense – Incitement of Insurrection.
He also stated that he believes that Trump can be convicted by the Senate even though he is no longer in office.
While claiming that he will remain objective and open to hearing all arguments, when asked if it was appropriate that the House of Representatives impeached Trump, Romney stated on CNN: “Well, yes. I believe that what is being alleged and what we saw, which is incitement to insurrection, is an impeachable offense. If not? what is?”
