(DCWatchdog.com) – If the Democrat Party gets shellacked at the polls come the congressional midterm elections in November, the issue that will have contributed significantly to its downfall will be illegal immigration.
Americans are angry at President Joe Biden for not effectively addressing the tidal wave of illegal aliens coming across the southern border, and they blame him for the problem.
Further, Americans say illegal immigration will be a significant factor in how they vote in November.
As Rasmussen Reports found and published in “55% Say Illegal Immigration Getting Worse, Blame Biden”:
“Most U.S voters think America’s illegal immigration problem is getting worse, and believe President Joe Biden is doing a poor job of handling of the issue.
“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 55% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the problem of illegal immigration is getting worse. Only 14% think the illegal immigration problem is getting better, while 27% think the problem is staying about the same.”
And, as Rasmussen tweeted out today, here’s the gut punch for the Democrats. Voters responded as follows when asked, “How important will immigration be as an issue in this year’s election?”:
Bottom line: The Democrat Party is in serious trouble with voters when it comes to illegal immigration, and it very well could be the public policy issue that tips the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives to the Republicans for the final two years of Joe Biden’s presidency.
How important will immigration be as an issue in this year's election?
