(DCWatchdog.com) – BREAKING NEWS: Known by his multiple nicknames, Sid Justice, Sid Vicious and Sycho Sid, pro wrestling legend Sid Eudy passed away at the age of 63 after a battle with cancer.

See the tweet below.

His son Gunnar Eudy shared the sad news on Facebook, writing, “I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years.”

He continued, “He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss. Details for a memorial service will be shared soon. Thank you for your support.”

WWE also acknowledged Sid’s death on X, stating, “WWE is saddened to learn that Sid Eudy has passed away. WWE extends its condolences to Eudy’s family, friends, and fans.”

Born in Arkansas, Sid began his pro wrestling journey in 1987 at Continental Championship Wrestling under the name Lord Humongous.

The 6-foot-9 giant quickly made a name for himself, winning the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) Southeastern Heavyweight Championship that same year. He later teamed up with Shane Douglas to win the NWA Southeastern Tag Team Championship.

After stints in NWA and World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Sid debuted in WWE (then WWF) in 1991 as Sid Justice.

He quickly rose through the ranks, challenging Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VIII and starting a fierce rivalry with The Ultimate Warrior.

Moreover, the wrestling legend returned to WCW in 1993 as Sid Vicious, where he squared off against Van Hammer and later teamed with Vader.

He feuded with Sting, losing to him in both a WarGames match at Fall Brawl and at Halloween Havoc.

From 1994 to 1996, Sid wrestled in the United States Wrestling Association before returning to the WWF. During his second run, he won the WWF Championship twice before losing the title to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 13.

After a neck surgery in 1997, Sid took a break from wrestling, making only brief appearances in independent promotions, Mexico, and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW).

In 1999, Sid returned to WCW and eventually defeated Kevin Nash to win the World Heavyweight Championship. His tenure ended before WWE bought out the company.

Additionally, Sid’s career nearly ended when he suffered a severe leg injury while attempting a move on Scott Steiner. Doctors told him he might never wrestle again, but he made sporadic appearances in various promotions until 2017.
