One Million Online for Trump, Musk

DONALD TRUMP / ELON MUSK

(DCWatchdog.com) – Despite the rocky start that delayed the interview for almost forty minutes, former President Donald Trump’s talk with Elon Musk drew over one million people online.

The Twitter “Space” continued with a “smaller number of listeners” and no glitches after it initially failed to launch. Musk blamed this on an “attack” he hinted might be from Democrats.

Once things were running smoothly, Musk opened the interview, which over a million listeners tuned into, by asking Trump about the failed assassination attempt against him, illegal immigration, and Kamala Harris’ lack of media appearances.

“What was the assassination attempt like?” Musk began.

“Not pleasant,” Trump joked.

Trump explained to Musk how narrowly escaping death strengthened his faith in God, “I’m a believer [in God],” he said.

“Now I’m more of a believer, I think. And a lot of people have said that to me. A lot of great people have said it to me, actually. But it was, it was amazing that I happened to be turned just at that perfect angle, and all because I put down a chart on immigration that showed that the numbers were so great. I love that chart,” Trump continued.

After accusing Harris of copying his “no taxes on tips” campaign proposal and slamming her role as the “border czar,” Trump criticized her for not doing an interview since starting her presidential campaign.

Harris has also not held a press conference and has taken only a few questions from reporters since becoming the presumptive Democrat nominee 22 days ago. Campaign officials claimed that Senator J.D. Vance would follow Harris as she held rallies to highlight the contrast between her media availability and her record.

“She’s incompetent. She’s as bad as Biden in a different way. She hasn’t done an interview since his whole scam started. And say what you want – this was a coup. This was a coup of a president of the United States…” Trump asserted.

About an hour later, after covering foreign relations and the economy, the GOP candidate compared his stamina and availability for media interviews to Harris and Biden.

Musk and Trump also discussed plans for 2025 if Trump gets back into the White House. The former president mentioned wanting to shut down the Department of Education and give control back to the states. Musk offered to help by serving on a government efficiency committee in Trump’s administration.
