NEW: Trump Scores Big After Indictment

Former President Donald J. Trump

(DCWatchdog.com) – HAPPENING NOW: Former President Donald Trump received over $4 million in donations for his presidential campaign in just 24 hours after a grand jury in Manhattan indicted him for allegedly committing crimes, his campaign shared on Friday.

The campaign said in a press release that this enormous increase in donations shows that people in America think the accusations against President Trump are unfair and are an attempt to use the justice system against him by a prosecutor who George Soros funds.

They also mentioned that more than 25% of the donations came from people who had never given money to Trump before, and the average donation was $34.

The campaign stated that people from all 50 states in the U.S. gave money to Trump’s campaign in just the first 5 hours after the false accusations were made.

On Thursday, as soon as the accusations were announced, the Trump campaign sent an email asking for donations to support his campaign for the 2024 election. This was the first of many emails they sent over the next 24 hours.

In one of these emails, Trump said that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s “witch hunt” would fail. He also mentioned that ever since he ran for president as an outsider, the people in power have tried to stop his movement that puts America first.

The case against Trump is about an alleged secret payment that his close associate Michael Cohen made to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election. The payment was supposedly made to keep Daniels quiet about an affair she claims she had with Trump in 2006.

On Friday, sources told The Post that Trump is facing at least one serious charge that could lead to a maximum of four years in prison. However, Trump strongly denies any wrongdoing and also denies having an affair with Daniels.
