(DCWatchdog.com) – Former and potentially future First Lady Melania Trump “stunned all in attendance” at a Trump Tower fundraiser this week, as she hosted a small gathering of megadonors at her penthouse with former President Donald Trump.

Melania’s aim was to raise funds for the Log Cabin Republicans (LCR), a conservative LGBT group.

According to a source, she wore a “fire engine red Valentino dress with appliqué flowers in the same fabric and Christian Louboutin pumps.”

One guest shared, “Hors d’oeuvres and Champagne flowed as the first lady generously welcomed the guests to her home with off-the-cuff remarks,” emphasizing her and Donald Trump’s support for the group.

This event followed another fundraiser at the Fifth Avenue home of Duke and Hannah Buchan, bringing in over $1.4 million.

A source mentioned that “both events were sold out in a short period of time,” and at each, Melania was “elegant and eloquent. She took the time to speak with everyone.”

In turn, this was the first campaign event of the year at the Trumps’ personal residence and Melania’s second solo appearance for her husband’s campaign, after hosting an LCR event at Mar-a-Lago in April.

Attendees included Kellyanne Conway, ex-Senator Kelly Loeffler, former cabinet member Ric Grenell, Nazee Moinian, former diplomats Georgette Mosbacher and John Rakolta with his wife Terry, Bill White and Bryan Eure, former U.S. Attorney General Matt Whitaker, and Melania’s stylist Hervé Pierre.

Praising the future first lady, a guest remarked, “Melania took photos and gave a beautiful speech about the importance of unity. She also said about the election, ‘We will see what happens, but we must win.’”

Additionally, the funds raised are intended for an outreach initiative targeting swing-state voters, especially suburban women, and gay and lesbian conservatives in battleground states.

According to LCR president Charles Moran the event set a fund-raising record for the group.
