Mass Shooting; Multiple Victims

(DCWatchdog.com) – On a weekend when millions of college football fans had eyes on Colorado because of the much-heralded game between Colorado University and Colorado State, a mass shooting near the crossroads of 19th Avenue and Market Street in Denver led to four individuals being taken to hospitals, as reported in a social media post by the Denver Police Department.

Shortly after that, a discovery revealed a fifth victim from the same outbreak of gunfire.

Thankfully, at this time, all five individuals are anticipated to heal from their wounds.

The Denver Police Department has not made any arrests relating to this case.

The investigation is ongoing to determine the details of the incident, and there hasn’t been any public release regarding a suspect.

Speaking on the matter, Jay Casillas, representing the DPD, said, “We are still in the early stages of the investigation, and investigators are still working to gather more info about what occurred and why. We ask anyone with info regarding this incident to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.”

Elsewhere, approximately an hour earlier, near the junction of 20th and California, the Denver Police Department attended to another case: a young male had been shot.

He, too, is on the path to recovery. Casillas noted the absence of any links between this event and the earlier shooting at 19th and Market.
