Marjorie Taylor Greene Thrown Out

(DCWatchdog.com) – Republican US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has been kicked out of the conservative House Freedom Caucus after she recently called her colleague Lauren Boebert a “little b****.”

The Republican House Freedom Caucus has at least 45 active members out of 212 GOP representatives. Greene’s ouster is the first time it has removed one of its members, The National Review reports, quoting Politico.

“A vote was taken to remove Marjorie Taylor Greene from the House Freedom Caucus for some of the things she’s done,” Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) told the leftist outlet.

Harris didn’t disclose whether he supposed MTG’s expulsion but described the outcome as “an appropriate action.”

“As far as I know, that is the way it is,” the Maryland Republican said when asked if the decision meant Greene was formally out of the Freedom Caucus.

Tensions inside the caucus spiked after a recent argument between Greene (R-GA) and Lauren Boebert (R-CO) on the House floor, during which the former allegedly insulted the latter.

“I think the way she referred to a fellow member was probably not the way we expect our members to refer to other fellow, especially female, members,” Harris commented.

Greene allegedly argued with Boebert after a rift among House Republicans emerged over House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) debt ceiling deal with President Joe Biden.

Harris confirmed that MTG’s dissent with other Freedom Caucus members over the debt bill and her support for McCarthy contributed to her ouster.

“I think all of that mattered. I think the straw that broke the camel’s back was publicly saying things about another member in terms that no one should,” he said.

The Maryland Republican hinted that MTG would no longer be able to attend the weekly off-campus strategy meetings of the House Freedom Caucus.

The only other House Freedom Caucus member who left the group was former US Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI), who quit on his own in 2019 and quit the GOP.

“This wasn’t even a speed bump,” Harris said about MTG’s ouster, claiming the caucus was now fully united.

Meanwhile, far-left news outlet The Daily Beast quoted an unnamed Republican lawmaker saying Boebert was against Greene’s expulsion because that violated Greene’s freedom of speech.
