Liz Cheney’s Wild Claim About January 6th Capitol Protest

U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY)

( – Starting this week in the first of several televised hearings, the United States House of Representatives Select Committee investigating what took place at the January 6, 2021, riot at the United States Capitol Complex in Washington, DC, will try to persuade Americans that there was a massive, complex, and intricate conspiracy involving multiple players and criminality to keep Donald Trump in office and stop Joe Biden from assuming the presidency.

One of the most prominent committee members who will be front and center in arguing the case to the American public will be Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY), who was selected by Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to be on the Committee.

According to Cheney, who has given numerous interviews, including one on Sunday, the Committee will present evidence of an “extremely broad” and “well-organized” conspiracy.

As Breitbart News reports about the interview, “Reporter Robert Costa asked, ‘Are you confident that what you have found as a committee will somehow grab the American people by the lapels and say, ‘Wake up: You have to pay attention’?’

Cheney replied:

“I am. The threat, and it’s an ongoing threat, you know, we are not in a situation where former President Trump has expressed any sense of remorse about what happened. We are, in fact, in a situation where he continues to use even more extreme language, frankly, than the language that caused the attack. And so, people must pay attention. People must watch, and they must understand how easily our democratic system can unravel if we don’t defend it.”

Speaking further about the alleged conspiracy, Cheney said, “It is extremely broad. It’s extremely well-organized. It’s really chilling.”

What is your opinion about Congresswoman Liz Cheney’s (R-WY) charge that on January 6, 2021, an “extremely broad” and “well-organized” conspiracy attempted to stop Joe Biden from becoming President of the United States as a means of keeping Donald Trump in office?
