Lindsey Graham Exposed In Shocking Leak

(DCWatchdog.com) – As New York Times reporters and authors of the recently released book “This Will Not Pass” — Jonathon Martin and Alex Burns — release more audio clips from the moments and days after the January 6th Capitol riot, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has found himself on the firing line.

In a leaked clip, the South Carolina Republican is heard praising President Joe Biden, saying he believes Biden is the “best person” to lead and unite the country following the protest.

According to an interview this week Martin had on CNN, Graham made the remarks in a secure room in the Capitol as Trump’s supporters breached the Capitol.

“We’ll actually come out of this stronger. Moments like this reset,” Graham says in the audio, adding, “People will calm down. People will say, ‘I don’t want to be associated with that.'”

The South Carolina Republican added that the moment would have a “rallying effect” because of the country saying, “we’re better than this.”

In the audio clip, Graham is asked whether he thinks Biden could help with this rallying effect, to which the Senator responds, “Totally, he’ll be maybe the best person to have, right?” adding, “how mad can you get at Joe Biden?”

After this conversation, Graham would make a passionate plea on the Senate floor, saying that while he and Trump had a “hell of a journey,” the riot led him to say, “But today, all I can say is count me out. Enough is enough. I tried to be helpful.”

Months later, Graham changed his tune on Trump, saying that the Republican Party couldn’t “move forward” without Trump and chastening then-House GOP Conference chair Liz Cheney for having an opposing view.

The South Carolina Senator would also go on to express his hope that Trump would seek re-election in 2024.
