(DCWatchdog.com) – During an exclusive interview with Tucker Carlson that aired on Fox News last night, Kyle Rittenhouse, who was found not guilty of all criminal charges resulting from his killing of two men and wounding a third in during the August 2020 race riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, took on President Joe Biden for “defaming” his character.
Using the legal phrase found in the most famous and leading United States Supreme Court decision in a defamation case, New York Times v. Sullivan, Rittenhouse accused Biden of “actual malice.”
Responding to questioning from Carlson about Biden having tweeted out a video that many believe suggested Rittenhouse is a white supremacist, Rittenhouse told Carlson, “It’s actual malice, defaming my character for him to say something like that.”
As the New York Post pointed out, it’s not the first time Biden has accused someone he disagrees with of being a white supremacist. The Post noted, “Biden, when he was a presidential candidate in September 2020, had tweeted that ‘there’s no other way to put it: the President of the United States refused to disavow white supremacists on the debate stage last night,’ referring to President Donald Trump.”
Rittenhouse, indicating that he thinks Biden doesn’t know what he’s talking about when it comes to Rittenhouse having been acquitted by a jury, had another message for Biden, saying, “Mr. President if I could say one thing to you, I would urge you to go back and watch the trial and understand the facts before you make a statement.”
