Kamala’s ‘Sick’ Lie

(DCWatchdog.com) – Kamala Harris has been blasted for telling the “sick lie” that Florida’s new curriculum on black history is “replacing” truth with falsehoods to “gaslight voters.”

In a couple of angry, agitated rants over the past few days, Harris has attacked the new curriculum in Florida by mentioning that enslaved people managed to learn certain skills during slavery.

Florida’s education department came up with the new black history curriculum at the initiative of Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, who exposed the previous teaching program as being packed full of anti-American Marxist indoctrination such as the so-called “critical race theory.”

“They want to replace history with lies. Middle school students in Florida to be told that enslaved people benefited from slavery,” Kamala Harris declared at the Ritz Theatre and Museum in Jacksonville on Friday.

“Are you kidding me?!” she asked in another rant on Monday after reiterating the above allegation.

However, critics have now hit back at her for that claim, describing it as a “sick lie.”

“This is a sick political strategy that Vice President Harris is trying to do because she knows that her voters are not going to take the time to actually read the curricula of the Florida standards, which are some of the most extensive standards I’ve ever seen on teaching Black history,” commented Exodus Institute founder Kali Fontanilla.

“I read them last night, and they’re actually really beautiful standards. She’s taking this one line and misrepresenting it in order to gaslight her voters,” said Fontanilla, a black former California teacher.

She quoted the new Florida social studies curriculum, stating, “Slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit.”

“You hear that word benefit, and they’re like, ‘Oh, no… Florida standards are saying that slavery was a benefit,’ and that is absolutely false. That’s not what the standards are implying. They’re just simply saying historical facts, which is, again, what the left is trying to do. They’re trying to do a revisionist history, not the right,” Fontanilla elaborated.

“Everybody involved in this says this is completely a fabricated issue and yet look at how quickly Kamala Harris jumped on it,” commented CNN conservative political commentator Scott Jennings.
