Judge Threatens ‘America’s Mayor’

Rudy Giuliani

(DCWatchdog.com) – The pro-left judicial harassment of Donald Trump’s allies seems to be continuing despite his 2024 election win, as Rudy Giuliani, a key figure in the tumultuous 2020 election aftermath, now faces civil contempt charges in a federal defamation lawsuit.

Two Georgia election workers are the plaintiffs, victims of what they allege were false claims spread by Giuliani, impacting their careers and reputations.

As the legal drama unfolds, larger questions about accountability and misinformation in America’s electoral process rise to prominence.

A federal judge threatened Giuliani with civil contempt for allegedly defying a court order to relinquish his luxury apartment and other assets.

Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, the plaintiffs, were awarded $148 million in damages by a Washington jury for Giuliani’s false accusations that they attempted to rig the 2020 presidential election.

Despite being mandated to comply by U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman, Giuliani has so far failed to meet the requirements.

Giuliani, while promising to fulfill all legal obligations, stands accused of asset shifting to dodge compliance.

Freeman and Moss’s attempts to seize his Manhattan co-op, a vintage Mercedes, and sports memorabilia point to the gravity of the contempt charges he faces.

His checkered legal history includes being disbarred in New York and pending criminal charges related to the election in Georgia and Arizona, Kron4 News reports.

Judge Liman, openly skeptical of Giuliani’s claims of ignorance regarding his assets, dismissed his explanations as “farcical.”

This farcical defense reportedly raised the ire of the presiding judge and was part of the reasons contributing to the potential contempt charge.

“The notion that your client doesn’t have any knowledge of where his assets are is farcical,” Judge Liman asserted, challenging the credibility of Giuliani’s current legal strategy.

“The vast majority of physical property, we have no idea where it is. There has been nothing but game playing,” said the women’s lawyer, Aaron Nathan, cited by CNBC.

Giuliani’s team admitted some items were moved to a Long Island storage facility without disclosing specifics.

Furthermore, the discovery of new bank accounts and an LLC, unknown to the court, calls into question Giuliani’s commitment to transparency, according to leftist critics.

Additional concerns emerged after he was photographed at a Florida polling site in a 1980 Mercedes, one of the assets up for forfeiture.

With the legal walls closing in, Giuliani faces an immediate need to address these accusations, as failure to remediate the violations could lead to serious judicial repercussions.

However, Giuliani remains defiant, stating, “They can have all my property, but they’re not going to get me to back off from what I believe in.”

His legal fates tied to contentious political narratives of 2020, Giuliani’s struggles beckon broad questions about election integrity and the legal consequences of misinformation.

“He’s not going to be in contempt if he’s made efforts and it’s impossible to comply with the order, but that’s the standard that he’s going to be held to,” the judge declared.
