(DCWatchdog.com) – In a new promise to crack down on the illegal immigrant invasion, Donald Trump has announced a bold proposed “Operation Aurora,” which seeks to combat illegal immigration and organized crime by targeting the Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua, and other criminal networks.

Critics argue the initiative fans the flames of fear and nativism, with assertions not entirely grounded in reality.

During a rally in Aurora, Colorado, Trump unveiled “Operation Aurora,” a stern approach to immigration enforcement.

This initiative aims at deporting members of Tren de Aragua and other criminal organizations.

Trump announced an aggressive stance on crime, calling for the death penalty for migrants who kill U.S. citizens or law enforcement officers.

His rhetoric claims an “invasion” of migrants, playing to the fears his base harbors about illegal immigration.

This approach brings forth a heavy-handed immigration policy, invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to speed up deportations.

Trump’s narrative paints the U.S. as “occupied America.”

“Now America is known all throughout the world as occupied America,” he told the rally, citing an “invasion” of migrants.

Local authorities, including Aurora’s Mayor Mike Coffman, dispute Trump’s claims about gang control and crime rates.

The local officials argue that the city remains safe and Trump’s portrayal exaggerates the reality.

Despite these assertions, Trump’s rally attracted about 10,000 supporters, signaling strong support among his base for his hardline immigration stance.

Throughout his political career, Trump has used immigration as a critical campaign issue, linking it to national security and economic stability.

Recent policies proposed by his campaign seek to expel not just criminals but also legally residing Haitians, accusing them of being threats.

His promises invoke old policies with new vigor, aimed at stirring up his voter base as he heads into the elections.

Meanwhile, Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris defended the Biden administration’s immigration policy, although facing critiques for shifting to more conservative positions.

Trump’s messaging appears tailored to battleground states, even though regions like Colorado and Ohio remain less competitive in presidential contests.

His supporters, however, celebrate his unapologetic strategies and brash rhetoric.

As the election date approaches, “Operation Aurora” stands as a testament to Trump’s unwavering commitment to addressing immigration, regardless of the controversy surrounding his methods.

“Kamala has imported an army of illegal alien gang members and migrant criminals from the dungeons of the third world,” said Trump, cited by NPR.

“And she has had them resettled, beautifully, into your community to prey upon innocent American citizens, that’s what they’re doing. And no place is it more evident than right here,” he added.
