(DCWatchdog.com) – In a bombshell announcement, famous lawyer Alan Dershowitz decided to quit the Democrat Party after witnessing the rise of “anti-Jewish” lawmakers in the party.

During an interview on “Talkline” with Zev Brenner, Dershowitz explained that his decision was also based on the recent Democrat National Convention (DNC).
He pointed out that the DNC allowed anti-Israel speakers and noted the presence of anti-Israel protesters outside the event.
“It was the most anti-Jewish, anti-Israel, anti-Zionist convention I’ve experienced,” Dershowitz stated in the interview. “I was disgusted at the Democratic National Convention. Absolutely disgusted.”
Now identifying as an Independent, the lawyer mentioned he has not yet decided who he would support in the upcoming presidential election, saying he would likely make up his mind after November 1.
“I want to see how they deal with Iran. I want to encourage the current administration to support Israel,” he asserted.
In addition, Harvard Law professor emeritus Dershowitz clarified that his departure from the Democrat Party was not sudden but rather a gradual process.
He highlighted Kamala Harris’s absence during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to Congress as a key factor in his decision.
Moreover, he also listed several Democrat figures he views as anti-Israel, including Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Reverend Al Sharpton.
Dershowitz further mentioned the anti-Israel protesters at the DNC who called for Israel’s destruction, stating, “That’s not my party.”
