He’s Angry! ‘I’m Bringing Hell with Me’

Bright orange and yellow flames burning intensely.

(DCWatchdog.com) – In an angry declaration, Tom Homan, the defiant ‘Border Czar’ under President Trump, has said, “I’m bringing hell with me,” sending shockwaves through the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) with a searing critique of Boston’s sanctuary city policies.

Boldly targeting Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox, Homan vowed a determined effort to impose stricter immigration enforcement.

This revelation leaves many pondering the potential clash between federal immigration authorities and Boston city officials.

Homan’s message was clear: Boston’s refusal to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would not go unchecked.

During his address, Homan specifically lambasted Commissioner Cox for not supporting ICE detainers, a failure he claims has cost innocent lives and allowed child rapists to walk free, Newsweek reports.

According to Homan, “Police commissioner of Boston, you said you’d double down on not helping the law enforcement officers of ICE, I’m coming to Boston and I’m bringing hell with me […] You’re not a police commissioner. Take that badge off your chest, put it in a desk drawer because you became a politician. You forgot what it’s like to be a cop.”

This incendiary statement follows years of friction between Massachusetts and federal immigration officials.

State law does not mandate compliance with ICE orders, and a 2017 state court ruling further restricts Massachusetts courts from enforcing ICE detainers.

This legal framework has led to tension-filled standoffs, as local officials prioritize the interests and safety of residents over federal mandates.

Cox, in his defense, emphasized that the Boston Police Department operates within state laws, focusing on criminal activity rather than immigration status.

“Our department abides by Boston law and Massachusetts law. We don’t have the authority to enforce federal immigration law. So, from our perspective, what we tell anyone who comes to visit our city or lives in our city is that we don’t care about your immigration status,” Cox remarked, cited by WCVB.

At CPAC, Homan reiterated his commitment to enforcing strong immigration policies, accusing the current administration of weakening border security.

“I’m coming to Boston, I’m bringing hell with me,” he stated, highlighting his determination to challenge cities that resist federal immigration laws.

Such rhetoric undoubtedly signals a looming confrontation, especially as Boston’s sanctuary policy remains firmly backed by Mayor Michelle Wu.

Gov. Maura Healey has also made clear that Massachusetts is not a sanctuary state, pointing out the lack of facilities and housing as a natural deterrent to migration.

Nonetheless, there are eight sanctuary cities within the state, with Boston taking a strong stance against ICE interventions.

This internal divide within Massachusetts, combined with Homan’s relentless pursuit, paints a picture of an ongoing battle over immigration policy—a hallmark of the conservative agenda.

While sanctuary city policies have garnered significant support, critics argue they undermine the rule of law and threaten public safety by allowing dangerous criminals to evade immigration enforcement.

With Boston and other sanctuary cities under scrutiny by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Chairman James Comer is poised to lead investigations into these policies.
