(DCWatchdog.com) – Expressing a clear disdain for the Biden-Harris administration, legendary NFL quarterback Brett Favre recently took the stage at a Green Bay rally to endorse GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Favre made a high-profile appearance at a Trump rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin. There, he blasted Kamala Harris and aligned himself with Trump, saying it was “time to bench Kamala and put in the star quarterback.”
Favre did not shy away from addressing Joe Biden, calling out the Democrat’s divisive rhetoric against Trump supporters.
The quarterback’s remarks came in response to Biden’s most recent gaffe, when he referred to Trump supporters as “garbage.”
“I can assure you, we’re not garbage,” Favre said. “How dare he say that? Looking out, I see police officers, teachers, nurses, grandparents, students. I see everyday Americans that make this country great,” Favre stated.
Favre remarked on the importance of this year’s election, underscoring Wisconsin’s economic struggles with inflation and affordability.
“There’s never been a more important time in our lives than right now in this election,” he pointed out. “The stakes are incredibly high. Families across Wisconsin are struggling to make ends meet.
“People’s salaries haven’t kept up with inflation. It’s getting harder for younger people to buy their first home. People are losing hope in the American dream,” Favre added.
This is not Favre’s first time supporting the former president. He backed Trump back in 2020, citing the importance of freedom of speech, the Second Amendment and support for police and military as key reasons for his endorsement.
“We’ve already had President Trump once — we’ve already seen Kamala in action. We can compare, and we know which is better,” Favre said.
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results…It would be insane to give Kamala four more years in office,” he continued.
Trump himself praised Favre’s leadership both on and off the field, highlighting Favre’s three consecutive MVP awards and a Super Bowl victory.
