Gen. Mark Milley Accused of Undermining Trump

Gen. Mark Milley

(DCWatchdog.com) – Did General Mark Milley undermine his Commander-in-Chief, then-President Donald J. Trump, by not informing Trump about a significant phone call with a top Chinese official at a critical moment in time?

That is what top Republicans want to know following reports in a book that that is exactly what Milley did to Trump.

According to the Washington Examiner in “Milley accused of dodging questions about allegedly undermining Trump while in office“:

“Gen. Mark Milley has been accused of dodging questions on allegations he kept information from President Donald Trump and undermined him while he was in office.

Milley has ignored calls from Republicans to clarify comments attributed to him in Watergate reporter Bob Woodward’s book Peril, in which it is claimed he did not tell Trump about a crucial call with a top Chinese official.” [emphasis added]

Some even allege what Milley did could be considered treasonous.

“The book’s description of the calls made waves last year, with Republicans charging that Milley was usurping the chain of command by telling the Chinese general he would warn China about any possible military strike ordered by Trump.” [emphasis added]
