Dem ‘Squad’ Member Makes Threat

(DCWatchdog.com) – In an ugly sore loser move that should still be taken seriously, US Rep. Cori Bush, a member of the infamous radical leftist “Squad,” has issued a threat against a pro-Israel lobbying firm after she suffered a humiliating loss in her Democrat primary.

Bush (D-MO) declared on Wednesday that the pro-Israel lobby “should be afraid” after it invested millions to thwart her re-election in the recent Democrat primary in St. Louis, The Guardian reports.

Despite her defeat to Wesley Bell, the St. Louis County prosecutor, Bush articulated that the aggressive campaign by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC)—which opposed her due to her criticism of Israel’s fight against Islamist terrorism in Gaza—has only intensified her resolve to confront the influential group.

AIPAC has pledged to allocate $100 million to sway this year’s US elections in favor of Israel.

“They’re about to see this other Cori, this other side. AIPac, I’m coming to tear your kingdom down,” Bush declared to her supporters.

The Squad member, who will remain in Congress until January, added, “All they did was radicalize me, so now they need to be afraid.”

Bush refrained from specifying her strategies against AIPAC.

However, detractors of the lobbying entity argue that it should be mandated to register as a foreign agent, accusing it of prioritizing Israeli interests over American ones.

AIPAC committed $8.5 million to oppose Bush, primarily through negative campaigning via its financing branch, the United Democracy Project (UDP), making it the second priciest primary contest in the US this year.

Celebrating Bell’s victory, AIPAC tweeted: “Being pro-Israel is good policy and good politics.”

Nonetheless, Bush’s allies pointed out that the UDP’s campaign largely avoided discussing the Gaza conflict or Bush’s advocacy for a ceasefire, focusing instead on her legislative record.

In a similar vein, the UDP allocated $15 million—part of which originated from billionaires who support stringent pro-Israel stances and Republicans—to defeat Jamaal Bowman, another Squad member critical of Israel, in the most expensive primary in US history.

A coalition named Jews for Cori, comprising various progressive Jewish organizations, attributed Bush’s loss to “AIPAC’s interference” on behalf of Israeli and Republican interests.

Justice Democrats, which invested $1.8 million in ads supporting Bush, labeled her opponent as “an empty suit for AIPAC and its GOP mega-donors to advance their own interests.”

Alexandra Rojas, the group’s director, suggested that AIPAC’s substantial expenditures to defeat certain Congress members indicate a strategic vulnerability.
