(DCWatchdog.com) – In a crazy political sight showing Democrats bicker bitterly after losing the 2024 election, James Carville, a veteran leftist strategist, has unleashed fierce criticism on Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign, specifically targeting the young progressive advisors that he believes contributed to crucial missteps.

During Harris’s campaign, Carville expressed his disapproval over the decision not to pursue an interview with popular podcaster Joe Rogan.
Carville argued this was a missed opportunity to reach a broader audience, especially since Rogan’s listeners span various political affiliations.
The reluctance reportedly stemmed from Harris’s younger advisors, who worried about associating with a controversial figure like Rogan.
Carville’s frustration is rooted in the idea that these young progressives prioritize “wokeness” over practical political strategies.
In an interview with Politicon, he accused Harris’s staffers of prioritizing ideological preferences over potential campaign benefits, ultimately harming her political standing.
Rogan himself claimed there were ongoing negotiations for an interview before Election Day, adding weight to Carville’s claims that this opportunity was more than speculative.
Notably, both Donald Trump and JD Vance took advantage of this platform by appearing on Rogan’s show.
“Supposedly the campaign said that wasn’t a determining factor, but it is,” James Carville stated, cited by Fox News.
Carville unreservedly criticized the influence of inexperienced staffers, adamantly stating that, “Campaigns are authoritarian by their nature. If I was running a 2028 campaign and I had some little snot-nosed 23-year-old saying ‘I’m going to resign if you don’t do this,’ not only would I fire that motherf***er on the spot, I would find out who hired him and fire that person on the spot.”
The dismissal of moderate Democratic ideals in favor of progressive stances has, according to Carville, led to a party that increasingly resembles a coastal, elitist club.
He argued that this shift has figuratively and literally cost electoral victories and pushed away essential voter demographics.
“You do anything you can to win, understand that. There’s nothing, nothing more important than winning elections,” Carville added.
With Harris considering her future political options, including another presidential bid or running for California governor, it appears the lessons from Carville’s grievances are yet to be fully realized.
If the Democratic Party continues to lean heavily on progressive ideals without pragmatism, Carville warns it may struggle in future electoral contests.
Progressive visions may drive momentum among certain factions, but from Carville’s perspective, they come at the expense of losing critical moderate support and the ultimate goal of electoral success.
