(DCWatchdog.com)) – During an extended video conference with the editor and authors of a forthcoming book, The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: A First Historical Assessment, former President Donald J. Trump, while addressing a range of topics, said, “there are some people that say my greatest achievement was getting the vaccine because the vaccine was said to take 3 to 5 years and most people said it wasn’t gonna happen.”
Trump also said he believes the vaccine saved millions of lives.

While Trump has made similar statements before, several political analysts we spoke with were surprised that he continues to raise the subject because many of his supporters believe COVID-19 is a hoax, and they believe the vaccine is either useless or dangerous.
So the fact that Trump keeps raising the issue and making the claim demonstrates that he does indeed believe that he deserves credit for what he believes is a vaccine that has saved millions of lives, as he has repeatedly stated in the past and says again in the video below.
As you’ll see in the video below, Trump states:
“But you look at our economy, and then what did we do, we went to work, and we built the economy again, we built it a second time. And when I left, the Dow and everything else was much higher than it was before.
“I think very importantly, there are some people that say my greatest achievement was getting the vaccine because the vaccine was said to take 3 to 5 years, and most people said it wasn’t gonna happen. Whether it’s Dr. Fauci or anybody else, they all thought it was gonna take a long time. We had the possibility of having a 1917 Spanish flu result where perhaps 100 million people would die. And the vaccine saved them.”
Trump then points out that he bought billions and billions of dollars of the vaccine before knowing whether it would work so that he could move fast in distributing the vaccine.
