(DCWatchdog.com) – HAPPENING NOW: In a development that has forced him to change plans, former President Donald J. Trump, along with Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, has been ordered to appear in court and testify under oath this Friday in an investigation into Trump’s business dealings.
The order for Trump to surrender and go under oath has forced Trump to cancel a planned American Freedom Tour rally scheduled for the same day in North Carolina.
As McClatchy’s Washington News Bureau reports:
“Former President Donald Trump and a host of Republican personalities have canceled their scheduled appearances Friday in Greensboro.
“News of the cancellation comes as Axios reports Trump, his son, Donald Trump Jr., and his daughter, Ivanka Trump, have been scheduled to testify under oath Friday in an investigation into Trump’s finances.” [emphasis added]
Before the cancelation, the following individuals were to appear at the American Freedom Tour event, where ticket prices ranged from $9 to $3,955.
“Trump, Trump Jr., television news personality Kimberly Guilfoyle, former New York state judge Jeanine Pirro, Pinal County (Arizona) Sheriff Mark Lamb and political commentator Dinesh D’Souza.”
The former president has been uncharacteristically quiet about his upcoming sworn testimony and that of his two children.
