BREAKING: Nikki Haley Ready To Do Battle

(DCWatchdog.com) – BREAKING NOW: Nikki Haley, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, is expected to announce her candidacy for the presidency on February 15, according to sources close to her.

This would make her the first Republican to run against former President Trump in the 2024 election.

The announcement is said to take place at an event at the Charleston Visitor Center, where Haley will extend an invitation to her supporters.

Recently, Haley hinted at a presidential run during a Fox News appearance, saying, “As fun as it would be to announce right now, yes… we are leaning in.”

She emphasized the need for a “new generation” of Republican leadership that can win a general election.

Haley’s previous comments in 2021, stating she wouldn’t run for president if Trump was also running, have changed due to recent events, including the Biden administration’s handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal, inflation, and the spread of drugs in the country.

She believes it’s time for a change in leadership and doesn’t think you need to be 80 years old to lead in Washington, D.C.

Trump recently spoke about Haley’s potential candidacy, saying she had called him to discuss it and that he told her to follow her heart and run. Despite previously saying she would never run against her president, Trump believes she should do it.

Other former Trump administration officials who may also run in the 2024 election include Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo, and John Bolton.

While he hasn’t publicly commented on it, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is also a potential challenger, with polling suggesting he would be Trump’s strongest competition if he decided to run.
