(DCWatchdog.com) – In a terrible incident that unfolded in a huge tragedy, the Bowling Green Fire Department (BGFD) and police department rushed to the scene of a significant fire at Valor Oil Company on Raven Ave, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Upon their arrival, witnesses described seeing thick smoke and intense flames engulfing the building.

According to BGFD’s Public Information Officer, Katie McKee, only two employees were on-site at the time of the incident. Thеy were promptly assеssed for injuries but declined further mеdical attention, a testament to their resilience. As a precautionary measure, St. Joseph Interparochial School was evacuated to ensure the safety of the community.

Mayor Todd Alcott and City Manager Jeff Miesel reassured the public that the fire had been contained, which provided some relief amidst the chaos.

A total of 11 units, including investigators and teams from various Bowling Green fire stations and support from Gott, Alvaton, and Richardsville Volunteer Fire Departments, rushed to the scene.

Approximately 40 personnel were involved in the response efforts.

BGFD’s Hazardous Materials Crew stepped in to manage fuel runoff caused by the blaze. Despite the containment, fire crews remain vigilant, monitoring for any signs of reignition.

The exact cause of the fire remains a mystery with investigations yet underway.
