(DCWatchdog.com) – HAPPENING NOW: Just moments ago, in an unexpected move, the United States House of Representatives Select Committee investigating events surrounding the January 6, 2021 attack on the United States Capitol in Washington, DC, scheduled a new surprise hearing to take place Tuesday, June 28.
Reportedly, the emergency hearing is to disclose “recently obtained evidence.”
The sudden schedule change comes just days after the committee said it was delaying additional hearings until July.
Additionally, while announcing the new hearing for tomorrow, the committee did not announce the names of witnesses or even how many witnesses will appear.
According to The Washington Post, which has sources inside the investigation:
“Today, the House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, insurrection, unexpectedly announced a hearing for Tuesday afternoon, its sixth this month. In a statement, the bipartisan panel said it would ‘present recently obtained evidence and receive witness testimony.’ More details are expected later.”
